Steven Katevatis is an ever-inquisitive spirit who has a passion for seeking challenges, leading him to embark on a career in law with a specialization in corporate and commercial law practice. With 17 years of experience in the field, he has handled various aspects of legal and financial structuring, facilitated public registration for major clients, and implemented complex corporate schemes for international investment projects. In 2013, he had a short but successful engagement with the world of venture capital (VCs) and tech start-ups, which ignited a strong desire for more similar experiences. As a result, he redirected his focus to technology law, seeking opportunities to actively engage in venture capital schemes. This path led him to collaborate with Georgios Douzas, and together they founded Forth Tech VCFM. His past professional experiences encompass securitization and complex finance structuring, offering guidance to fintech companies during their licensing procedures, and negotiating intricate commercial contracts for international clients in shipping, banking, and technology law. His mission now is to leverage the lessons learned from his previous career to support young entrepreneurs with brilliant ideas in materializing their aspirations. He views this as the ultimate opportunity to empower and assist these entrepreneurs in adopting a growth mindset.
Georgios Douzas embarked on his academic career in Physics, which eventually led him to obtain a Ph.D. His professional curiosity, however, prompted him to switch fields and engage in software engineering and artificial intelligence applications. As an engineer, he gained over 10 years of practical exposure, working on demanding and acclaimed projects for established tech companies. Additionally, he became a member of the MagIC research and development center, where he conducted research in physics, mathematics, and artificial intelligence, resulting in the publication of articles in high-impact machine learning and high-energy physics journals. His passion for science and technological applications took on a whole new exciting form as a key executive of a State-funded Venture Capital Fund in Greece. In this new role, he is motivated to empower, change, and drive the Greek tech landscape forward from within. His goal is to create a fertile ground for disruptive thinkers and forward-thinking doers, fostering innovation and growth in the tech sector.
Manolis Alivizatos is an electrical and computer engineer (NTUA 2002) with almost 20 years of experience in research and development and software development on various fields (Applied Research, Defense and Aerospace, Marketing / Market Research, Network Monitoring, Health Sciences) as technical lead and project manager in large scale and innovative enterprise software solutions. Patented results of his doctoral thesis (DrEng, NTUA 2005) on data processing were adopted by the defense industry. He was involved in various business ventures (2009-2014) as co-founder and managing partner of retail and EPC companies. Afterwards, he started investigating business opportunities in analytics and consulting tech companies on data management and advanced analytics (Statistics/ML). Since then (2014) he has worked as an executive of various companies, offering data-centric solutions to large clients. In 2022 he took over as the head of the Analytics, BI and Innovation at NTT DATA Greece, and participates in the software development and the expansion of NTT DATA in the field of health data.
